How long does it take for my order to ship?

Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1–3 business days. Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information so you can follow your package.

Do you ship outside of the US?

-At this time we only ship within the United States. We do not offer international shipping. Sorry for the inconvenience.

 

How do I check the status of my order?

Once your order has shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number and tracking link.

If you have not received your tracking information after the normal processing period, please contact us with your name and order number, and we will be happy to check your order status.

 

How do I cancel my order?

If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible after placing it.

If your order has not yet been processed or shipped, we will do our best to cancel it. Once an order has been shipped, it can no longer be canceled. But you can return it within three days of receiving it as long as it has not been opened and all seals are intact.
 

Do you accept returns?

Because our products are personal hair-care products, we are unable to accept returns.

If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or incomplete, please contact us so we can make it right.

There is an issue with my order. What should I do?

We want you to be happy with your order. If your package arrives with a missing item, incorrect product, damaged product, or another order issue, please contact us as soon as possible. Please include:

• Your name

• Order number

• Description of the issue

• Photos of damaged or incorrect items, when applicable

Our team will review the issue and work with you to find the appropriate solution.

 

Will these products make my hair grow?

Our products are not intended to guarantee or medically stimulate hair growth. However, our handmade hair oil and hair conditioner are designed to help moisturize, soften, nourish, and support healthier-looking hair and scalp.

Keeping curly and coily hair moisturized and reducing dryness and breakage will help you maintain longer, healthier-looking, stronger-feeling hair over time.

 

Is the hair oil good for an itchy or dry scalp?

Our hair oil is formulated to help moisturize and nourish dry-feeling hair and scalp. However, our products are cosmetic products and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent scalp conditions.

If you are experiencing persistent itching, irritation, flaking, or another scalp concern, we recommend speaking with a healthcare professional or dermatologist.

 

Are your products vegan-friendly?

Yes. Our products are made without animal-derived ingredients and are vegan-friendly.

May I use these products on all hair types?

While Black Therapy hair products are created for more coarse, curly, and kinky hair types they WILL benefit any hair type that needs hydration and nourishment.

How often should I use the conditioner/hair oil?

For best results we recommend using the conditioner or hair oil no more than every other day. This helps prevents product buildup.

May I use the oil on protective styles?

Yes. Our hair oil can be used with a variety of protective hair styles such as braids, twists, locs, and other protective styles.

May I use the products on children’s hair?

Yes, our products may used on children's hair. However we do not recommend using them for children under 3 years old.

May I use the Hair Quenching Conditioner as a leave in?

Our Hair Quenching Conditioner is formulated for rinse outs and deep conditioning treatments. For best results we do not recommend using it as a styling product. 

 

Why do you use dark containers and bottles?

Our dark packaging and containers are intentionally selected to help protect our handmade hair-care products from UV light and unnecessary light exposure. Light exposure can affect oils, butters, color, scent, freshness, and overall product quality over time.

 

Why do you use glass dropper bottles for the hair oil?

Glass dropper bottles help preserve the quality, freshness, and natural aroma of the oils because glass does not absorb the scent of the formula. Additionally, the dropper allows for clean, controlled, and precise application directly where you need it with less mess.
